We found love in the club…

Neither Jenn nor Tim were ‘club people’, but on January 13, 2018, they were both invited to Living Room DC for separate celebrations. While walking around with a friend, Jenn saw Tim standing outside his table, thought he was cute, and went over to talk to him. Tim assumed she was just talking to him because she wanted him to buy her a drink and tried to call her out for it – so instead Jenn dragged Tim to the bar and bought him a drink. They got to talking, bonded over the fact that they both went to college near each other, and the rest is history.

Why Charleston?

Jenn and Tim took their first trip together as a new couple to Charleston, South Carolina in July of 2018. Because after six months of dating, what better way to know if you’re truly compatible with someone than taking a flight with them to a new city? (And for Tim, this wasn’t just any flight, but #TimsFirstFlight) It was a perfect trip filled with restaurant-hopping, oysters, Taco Boy, dancing with friends (shout-out Ian and Allison Webster), and beach time at Folly. When the chance came to pick out wedding locations, they knew Charleston was a place they wanted to go back to with family and friends.

Even better, the hotel they first stayed at back in 2018, was completely rebranded and renovated into what will be their wedding venue on June 2, 2023; the Hotel Emeline.
